ParticipantCould you please help me get to this http://wpshindig.com/events/photo/
With ‘View as’ cascading below.
I don’t seem to be able to enable the views to change (c/o Enable event views), although they are offered on the page itself. So I’ve disabled them.
Maybe someone could explain to me overall what is required or the instructions. Much appreciated, this is probably all we need from the ‘Pro’. (Famous last words…)
Thanks, MarkOctober 24, 2016 at 7:49 am #1181888George
ParticipantHey Mark,
Thanks for reaching out. I apologize for my misunderstanding, but am not entirely sure what you’re asking for here.
It sounds like what you’re saying is that, on your site, the “View As” selector does not work.
Is this a correct summation of what you’re saying here? If not, then what is the specific thing you want to happen, and what is the specific thing that is happening instead.
If that’s indeed a good summation of your issues, then can you:
1. Re-enable all of those calendar views you disabled? I will then take a closer look at your site firsthand and see if I can pinpoint the problem.
2. Please your site’s complete, un-edited system information. Here is how to do that: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thanks!

Thanks, yes, this is about the size of it.
Enabled Month, list, photo as an e.g. as you ask. And here’s systems info/allow you to see.
And to decide Friday once meet the ‘team’ which to offer as default and add photos but seems not to allow selection.

ParticipantPS I put this info above on thread because the allow tick kept going off. But now it’s showing ‘on’.

ParticipantThanks so much for this information, Mark, and for your patience here.
I took a look through things and don’t notice anything outright problematic in your System Info, nor was I able to spot a specific JavaScript error on your site’s calendar page.
With this in mind, I think your site might actually be afflicted by a recent bug we just confirmed the existence of this morning.
The bug basically works like this:
• If you don’t have any “pretty” permalinks enabled on your site, the “View As” switcher will not work.
• If you do have “pretty” permalinks enabled, though, it should work fine.To test this on your site, head to Settings → Permalinks in your site’s wp-admin.
Change the Permalinks settings there from “Default” to something like /%postname%/ — then save the changes, and check out your events page.
How do things behave in this state?
Thank you!

ParticipantThanks for sharing, Mark!
Glad to hear progress was made — stay tuned for the next few plugin updates, a proper fix should arrive that will allow the default/”not-pretty” permalinks to be used without issue.
Cheers,
George -
