    Hi

In a fresh install, I created a single venue. It is the only one visible in the Venues index. No drafts etc.

When creating an event, there are about 10 items in there which look like demo content rubbish left over by the admittedly awful theme we have to use. For them to show there, but not on the Venues screen, I assume there are different SELECT criteria between the two.

Any ideas on how to get rid of them without doing a full search on the database?

Edit: the exact same phantom entries show under organisers as well

Hi James and welcome to the forum!

That’s really weird and something I admittedly haven’t come across before.

Does it happen when you have a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Fifteen) activated? I’m definitely inclined to ask you to go through these troubleshooting steps just to make sure there isn’t a specific conflict with the theme or another plugin.

Let’s start there and see what we find. 🙂

    Cheers!

I’ve decided that this theme has to go and we’re changing the clients website for free, because we picked this theme in the first place. Themeforest is the worst.

Thanks for the help anyway 🙂

My pleasure, dude. Thanks for following up and sorry for the headache there! Theme compatibility can be a wild beast for sure.

Feel free to hit us up if any other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Geoff
