Having some ticketing issues with our extension (The Events Calendar/ WooTickets). It seems that the available stock number keeps jumping up with each purchase made by a customer. For example, we have 100 tickets made available as stock (set on both woocommerce and the event) however each time a customer makes a purchase it adds an extra ticket, so if they buy two tickets it shows up as 2 sold of 102 tickets.

We have looked at this several times and cannot seem to work out how to fix this. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution?

    Howdy Yvette,

Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. I’ll help you out here!

Just tested this to make sure it’s working as expected, and in fact it is!

Are you seeing this in 2 sold of 102 in the back-end? Do you have any special set-up for products in WooCommerce?

Per default this should be enabled, but you can check the Ticket settings in WooCommerce to make sure ‘Stock Management’ is in fact enabled. Go to ‘WP-Admin > Products > ‘Ticket’ > Product Data > Inventory > Manage Stock?’ it should be enabled, take a look: https://cloudup.com/cqcRKFOKhUq

Please let me know if this solves the issue,
    Best,
    Nico

Hello, we are also having a similar issue. Our tickets seem to add to the total in stead of take the purchased tickets off the total. http://www.beggarstheatre.co.uk This is very sporadic. Checked the information you have suggested above and all is ‘checked’ as required. thanks

    Hi Nico,

Everything has been checked and is as suggested above. It looks like this is just appearing in the back end for us, but as I am not putting through tickets I want to double check customers are unable to see this, we’d prefer them not to know how many tickets are sold!

Another thing I have noticed and had feedback on, is when purchasing a ticket it comes up with extra items in the cart. So if I put 1 ticket in my cart, when I go to the next page it is saying that I have 3!I then have to go through the process of updating everything again which is fine from our end, but for people who might struggle with technology a little more this is quite frustrating.

    Appreciate your assistance!

    Hi there Chloe and Paul,

Thanks both for following-up on this, and confirming everything looks fine in the settings 🙂

@Paul, I’ll focus on Chloe’s feedback to get this sorted. You are welcome to follow along, but if you want a closer follow-up on your issue just create new topic – you can always link back to this one not to describe the issue again.

@Chloe, the ‘cart’ behavior you describes sounds strange, and might be related with the stock management issue. Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins. Also if you have an event in your site -live or dev site- where I can see this please share the link with me.

    Have a great weekend,
    Nico
