GuestFor my site (with several theaters, artists and performances) I am looking for a calendar where it can be collected at all. Example, one artist has a show in one week on Mon, Wed, Sat & Sun at various theaters in the week after his performances on Fri & Sat. Is this possible? and if so, is to find an example on the Internet?
Sincerely,
RuudMarch 14, 2015 at 11:02 am #948339George
ParticipantHey Ruud,
It does indeed sound like The Events Calendar can handle what you’re describing here – you can have many many Venues for your events (each one being a theatre or other performance location, if needed, or anything at all!). And the main calendar, as well as any specific calendar “Views”, can all show events from any venue, any artist, etc.
If you need to filter things by the Artist, specifically, one option is to use the “Events Category” feature – this is a feature of the free version, so you can experiment and see if it works for you before buying anything 🙂 Basically, if you just use each Artist’s name as a category, you could then filter by that wherever needed.
Does any of this information help? If not, I’m sorry to not address your concerns – let us know about what you’re trying to do in more detail, and specifically, can you clarify what you mean by this line:
Example, one artist has a show in one week on Mon, Wed, Sat & Sun at various theaters in the week after his performances on Fri & Sat.
It’s not quite clear what you actually want to happen given the circumstances in your example, so elaborating would definitely help.
Finally, as for examples of the plugin, one great example is our official demo site at http://wpshindig.com
Another option is to check out the sites in our Showcase → https://theeventscalendar.com/showcase/ You may be able to find good examples, for example the NC Music Factory, which has many different events and artists → https://theeventscalendar.com/showcase/north-carolina-music-factory/

GuestHi George,
Thanks for your comment!
What I mean is I have on my site (TheaterReserveringen.com) several artists and performances are providing a performance during a period of several dates and locations. To avoid getting a date one representation can place I would like to see that you can specify a start date and end date of the period and within the dates of the respective performance including location now.
Below is an example of what I mean. At the bottom of the page you’ll see a list of location and date.
The goal is that I want my visitors an overview that can call them through a monthly calendar.
So clearly?
Sincerely,

ParticipantHey Ruud,
In your reply here, you said “Below is an example of what I mean. At the bottom of the page you’ll see a list of location and date.” – what example were you trying to show us here? I do not see screenshots or anything.
Is what you mean by your description here something like this list of dates for a band on your website? → https://cloudup.com/cFwanPFX7WI
If so, then you can indeed do what you intend to do here, but it would take some code customization, you’d have to add the Artists or the band name as an Event Category, then get all the upcoming events for that artist or band name. Then you can display it however you’d like, and show a list of upcoming events and their dates like on that page above.
You’d have to take the reins on building out this custom display of events, but you can learn about how to do it with our function tribe_get_events(), which you can read about here.
Let us know if this helps – these features I describe here are not limited to the PRO version, so you could play around with the free version for quite a while and see if it suits your needs okay → https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/
Cheers!
