Hi,
We usually do copy/paste of a single event’s permalink in a Facebook post to promote the event. Now it has stopped to show the event image and title, but the link is working fine. That problem occurred around 2-3 days ago until then It was working fine . Is it an issue with the Events Calendar or eventually Community Events(since we are using that plug-in to allow users to submit an event) and how can we fix it, or is it Facebook that has some conflict?

We will gladly try to assist you on this topic.
In order to investigate possible errors, I used the Facebook’s DeBugger tool for Developers.
You can try it for yourself if you want.It turns out that there is an error on your single events pages (and maybe others). The open graph (og) type property appears to be missing.
A lot of people fix this issue through the use of a SEO plugin where you can define the metadata passed to Facebook (e.g.: Yoast SEO).
If that doesn’t work for you, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your system information in a private reply ?

Hi Geoff,
Yes we have the Yoast SEO plug-in. It turned out that it has stopped putting the meta tags with the open graph data in the <head> part of the page. We reloaded the plug-in and now it puts the missing open graph data. So the problem is fixed for the moment and Facebook is again showing the image and the title of the single event.
