ParticipantHi,
I found a problem using The Event Calendar.. the plugin is awesome though! I try to use the PRO version but problem persist. The installation:
– WP 4.1
– Avada 3.7.1
– The Event Calendar 3.9
– The Event Calendar Pro 3.9The setup:
– I have a page called What’s On with permalink ‘http://diabetes2.digitalmate.com.au/events/’, and a primary menu item calling this page.
– Event Calendar setting, Events URL slug “events”, Single event URL slug “event”The issue is when I do these steps:
1. change view to “Day”, url changed to http://diabetes2.digitalmate.com.au/events/today/
2. change date to another date
3. the url change to http://diabetes2.digitalmate.com.au/2014-12-18/
4. if I refresh the page, it got 404I think the url is missing /events/ between the domain and date, if I manually change url to http://diabetes2.digitalmate.com.au/events/2014-12-18/ and refresh, it works.
THIS IS CONFIDENTIAL

MemberHi,
Thanks for using our plugins and sorry for the issues you are having. I can help troubleshoot this with you.
I tested out the four steps you laid out and I could not reproduce the error at first with past events, but it did do it for future events.
You are correct the /events/ being removed from the url is causing the issue, but it is unclear where that is coming from.
To troubleshoot this can you first follow our 404 error guide and see if that helps:
Then if that does not help please follow our testing for conflicts guide and see if that can narrow down cause of the issue:
Let me know what you find out from that and we can go from there.
Thanks

ParticipantHi Brian, you are magic! Flush Permalinks resolved the issue.. could you please tell me what actually causing it? I am curious 🙂
Thank you so much for your help

MemberIt is hard to say what caused it. Sometimes the permalink settings get changed by another plugin and theme and it messes everything up and all it needs is a flush to reset everything. It is a typical issue that pops up.
I am going to go ahead and close this ticket, but if you need help on this or something else please post a new ticket.
Thanks!
