Hani Draye
GuestHi
I tried the free version and would like to upgrade, but I have 3 questions please:
1 – My site is about Riyadh city, so I dont need to enter city, state and country in venues, is there a way to make these fields permenant so I dont have to fill them over and over again?2 – Adresses in Saudi Arabia is not compatible with Google maps, is there a way to enter coordinates?
3 – I am using Event Manager plugin, can I import events to TEC from there or should I reenter the events all over again?
Yes and by the way, to show different colors for different catagories and show certain catagories (hiding others), do I have to buy the filter bar? I dont mind that but as it has options that I will not use, I guess it would take of the area of the calander on the page.
regards
Hani

MemberHi Hani. Thanks for considering our plugins!
It sounds like buying our PRO add-on is all you’ll need.
You can set defaults like you’re wanting. Plus, it enables you to set custom lat/long coordinates for each Venue.
Bonus: The Events Calendar Category Colors is a free plugin (3rd party — not endorsed, maintained, or guaranteed by us)
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with!

MemberHani, glad to hear. Thanks for your business!
We’ve got these instructions regarding translations:
- Translating the premium plugins
- Translating The Events Calendar (free/core plugin)
Please reference that information and let me know if you need any further assistance.

ParticipantHi
I am editing the .po file locally using PoEdit, but when I upload file, I cant see any translation, any ideas?April 12, 2016 at 8:55 pm #1101736Cliff
MemberHani, sorry it’s not being straight-forward for you.
I don’t know about a local .po file for your own site, but did you check out our translation site, see if we have Arabic, and add some translations there if they were missing any/all of them?

ParticipantYes, I downloaded that too, but same thing, nothing changes.
I mean by editing locally, that I dont edit on your site translation platform, rather I work on my pc and then upload the file.
Am I uploading to wrong folder? I am uploading to wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/lang and wp-content/plugins/events-calendar/langregards

MemberI would refer you to https://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language
Are you using the correct country/language code in the mo/po file name — to match the language chosen in your WordPress Settings?

MemberHani, I don’t see any errors in your file naming, but you don’t seem to have .mo files.
And are you using any translation plugins? If yes, please deactivate it while testing to see if this is working.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi
I updated and upgraded to PoEdit pro, and things are better now, but, may I ask why are you haveing the word Event as a variable? I had to translate it differently and PoEdit kept tilling me there are errors (I could live with that, but maybe will make sharing the translation unusable)
Also, I can not translate the “View All n Events” in the monthly calendar when the number of events are more than the default number to show in a day.
What ever I put there either wont change the translation, or will hide the words and only show “>>” on calendarAny help here please?
regards
Hani

MemberHani, sorry things have been difficult for you to get up and running, but I’m not sure how I can be of much assistance to you. I’m glad you’re making progress though.
Please reference our changing text articles for how to change “Events” text.
At this point, since we’re in the Pre-Sales Forum, I’m going to close this thread.
If you feel the need to, please post in our Translations forum.
Thanks!
