ParticipantI’m a paid license-holder on one site, and I’m considering using this one some other sites. I’m wondering: if I purchase the Aggregator Bundle, is this possible?
3 sites:
Site 1 (master) – enter all events here and set category
Site 1: display calendar with events in “Site 1” category
Site 2: display calendar with events in “Site 2” category
Site 3: display calendar with events in “Site 3” category
If so, does each event on each site have it’s own event post (on that site)? Or does it just link back to the “master”?
Thanks!

MemberHi Brian,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here! It sounds like you’d have no problems executing a setup like this across your sites with Event Aggregator. Each Event Aggregator license key supports up to 10 total site activations, so it’s just a matter of setting up your “master” site, then importing each category’s events to the other sites at whatever interval you specify. You can learn more about importing events using Event Aggregator on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/import-from-feed-or-url/
For importing events from other sites running The Events Calendar, you’ll want to make use of the Other URL import type. You can import a specific category’s events by simply entering the URL for that category when setting up your import. For example, to import events from the “Tech Meetups” category on our WP Shindig demo site, you’d enter the URL http://wpshindig.com/events/category/tech-meetups.
Each separate site will have its own calendar with its own set of events; imported events will be copied over to each individual calendar, not redirected to the source. However, by default, a link to the original event will be provided in the event details for any imported events. You can always remove these links if you’d prefer to keep your calendars entirely separate. 🙂
I hope that helps to answer your questions here! Thanks again, and let me know if there’s anything else that I can help you with!
