Hey folks, we just released The Events Calendar 4.1.1, including updates to a handful of our premium plugins. If you haven’t seen that announcement, please do check out the release notes to all 27 tweaks and bug fixes in their full glory.
It’s also worth noting that some of you may experience a bit of an issue during update. We had a reported issue when 4.1 released that was causing the plugin directory of our plugins to be renamed and thus unrecognized by WordPress, which deactivated our premium plugins. That was no bueno and we released a fix for it within hours.
Those of you who experienced the issue in 4.1, however, may see the same issue when updating to 4.1.1. The reason for this is that the plugin directory had been renamed and now, with the latest release, the directory will go back to its default and correct name. As a result, any of our premium plugins (e.g. Events Calendar PRO) will deactivate upon update.
No worries, though! You can simply reactivate the plugin manually on your Plugins screen:
Sorry for the inconvenience, but we hope it’s going to make things much easier in the long run. And, of course, please hit us up in the forums if you hit any trouble and we’d be happy to help you out.
