We have ECP setup and can see other features from it. We are using the event list, after submitting this https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/calendar-widget-only-display-events-of-the-current-month/ a while ago. Well, we were very surprised to see that the newest version of Pro now does this! I am referencing #3 in the list at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/the-events-calendarproadd-ons-3-9-things-to-be-aware-of/.
The problem is we can’t seem to find where that widget is located at all! If we go to Appearance -> Widget we only see Events List, Featured Venue, Countdown, and Calendar. What are we missing so we can get this enabled?
January 7, 2015 at 1:59 pm #930100Dan DouglasParticipantSame here, just purchased and installed latest. I do not see any advanced list widget.
I could really use it.January 7, 2015 at 3:34 pm #930139BrianKeymasterHi thanks for purchasing Pro.
Pro overwrites the Event List Widget from the Core version of the Events Calendar.
So create a new widget using the Event List widget and it will have all the features for Pro.
Please note the styling changed in 3.9 for the list widget and there is an error causing the stylesheet to not load.
We have a fix coming within a week, but in the mean time add this to your theme’s function.php

Let me know if you run into any issues.
Thanks
January 8, 2015 at 4:23 am #930339Henrico CountyParticipantIm sorry, but we aren’t seeing that. This is all we see – http://imgur.com/TTlVeHr . There are none of the new options or the feature we are looking for, nor anything more than just how many to show and the parts to show.
We also couldn’t find any documentation on these differences, whats so ‘advanced’ in the advanced one, or its config. Are these available?
January 8, 2015 at 4:43 am #930345BrianKeymasterThe image you shared is the Pro List Widget.
This is what the Free Version List Widget Looks like in the widget section:
Not sure what features you are looking for form the widget, but this page overviews all the widgets:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/events-calendar-widgets/
And item #3 you referenced is a change to the styling of the List Widget not to any other functionality and there is a glitch right now where that style is broken and the above snippet fixes that issue until we can release an update within the next week if everything goes to plan.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks
January 8, 2015 at 5:57 am #930397Henrico CountyParticipantOk, I do have a follow up question – will that snippet fix show the new calendar like option (similar to the month widget) that was referenced in #3?
January 8, 2015 at 7:10 am #930427Dan DouglasParticipantOK, I understand now. Initially I thought that the list widget would offer a way to bind to a calendar widget so that it would update. But I agree with ‘henricocounty’ in it would be nice to mirror the list functionality within the calendar widget. I manually edited to get what I needed to get me by.
Thanks.January 8, 2015 at 7:33 am #930438BrianKeymasterThat snippet styles the list widget events just like the list of events under the mini calendar widget, that is what item #3 mentions.
Do you read #3 as doing something else? If so lets us know so we can clarify it.
January 8, 2015 at 12:08 pm #930556Henrico CountyParticipantSince we had not looked in detail at the Event List or Advanced version of it, and couldn’t find a visual reference, we assumed Advanced would have a lot more options (more filtering and customizing of the list). And while we were really excited for this new feature, we actually thought it was more of an option that you would turn on.
January 8, 2015 at 1:31 pm #930590BrianKeymasterYep the List Widget just got an upgrade in styling and nothing else.
If you would like to request more features for it please head to our UserVoice Page and add your own or upvote that feature as they will increase the chances of it being added to a future version.
