ParticipantMy events calendar pro just isn’t connecting to my menu item EVENTS at the top. NOR can I click an item on the front page menu that’s highlighted and get to the event.
Yes, I have disabled all plug-ins besides The Events Calendar so it’s something I’m formatting. Please help.

MemberHello, Sharon!
Thank you for using The Events Calendar! I can help with this ?
When I go to your site I’m able to navigate to the Events page from the top menu as well as from the events in the main area.
You say you disabled all other plugins, did you also try one of the default themes, such as twentyseventeen?
What happens if you try deactivating all plugins and switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme together? Do you notice a difference then?
If you see no difference in those conditions, then we’ll need to do some deeper troubleshooting
You can find more detailed instructions in our Testing for Conflicts guide here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Let me know what you find out!
Cheers,

ParticipantI had to pay someone to get that header menu item to link to the menu items because no one was helping me here so that’s done. However, he couldn’t get the links to work on the front page when the calendar was pictured, so we just had to go with a list of events instead of the calendar.
Can you give any advice or are you going to tell me to deactivate my plugins again for the third time?

MemberHi Sharon,
I had to pay someone to get that header menu item to link to the menu items because no one was helping me here so that’s done.
Sorry to hear you had to resort to that.
In reviewing the troubleshooting steps, Trisha was only trying to gain clarity into the problem – we were and are happy to help as best we can.
I’m glad at any rate that this part of the problem is now resolved 🙂
However, he couldn’t get the links to work on the front page when the calendar was pictured, so we just had to go with a list of events instead of the calendar.
Even after visiting your site I have to admit I’m not completely following you, here.
Can you distill this down a little more? Which links exactly were not working and what do you mean when you say that the ‘calendar was pictured’ — do you mean you tried configuring the calendar to display on the front page, via the options provided in WordPress’s Settings → Reading admin screen?
Thanks!
