Just added Events Calendar and PRO to our test site. I added a sample event and it didn’t let me publish it. Only gave me the option to Submit for Review. I am the only admin on the site so far. I can’t even publish it from the list of events – it just says Pending. I don’t see anywhere in the settings to give anyone permission to review or publish events.

What you’ve described does not sound like typical behavior. The first step here would be to review our Testing for conflicts guide to see if you can narrow down the culprit. Reply back with any details you may have and we’ll continue investigating.

Excellent. After switching the theme and disabling all the plugins, it worked, and it kept working after reenabling everything. Not sure why, but thanks all the same!
Hopefully it will continue to work as expected.
