ParticipantI try to import an ics-file via URL to my homepage, reccuring or one time: I get the error, “No ical found at this url.” The URL is correct, because it is delivering the ics-File (I paste the URL in a browser and the ICS-File is available as file).
Then i try the import via file. I uploaded the ics-File to WordPress. Then i choose this file in iCal-Importer, but the error is the same: “No ical found at this url.”.
What is the problem?
The version is the newest one: iCal-Calendar 3.12.
Regards,
Sönke

ParticipantHey @Sönke,
I tested your .ics file in PHP 5.2 and got errors too, but as soon as I switched to PHP 5.6, things imported fine:

I’m really sorry about this! This seems to be a bug in our code. I will log this is as a bug so that our developers can fix it as soon as possible.
In the meantime, can you contact your web host and see if they can increase your site’s PHP version to 5.6? Or anything higher than 5.2? It might help.
Really sorry about this @Sönke!

ParticipantHej George,
thank you for your replay. I write my web host to update the PHP-version, but it was good to adress the bug also, if they could not update the PHP-version.
Regards,
Sönke

ParticipantHey Sönke,
Thanks for contacting your host, let us know how it goes!
As for getting the bug fixed itself, you’re absolutely right that it should be fixed regardless. We’re working on a fix now that we’ve reported the bug, and it should hopefully be fixed in the next release.
I hope the PHP Version increase helps you until that release comes out – let us know if your host is able to increase the version and if it helps! 🙂
Cheers,
GeorgeSeptember 15, 2015 at 10:09 am #1005330Snke
ParticipantI will reply if my hoster update the PHP-version. Hope he does…
Regards,
Sönke

MemberHi there,
Just wanted to inform that maintenance release 4.1.3 is out. The update includes a fix for this issue.
Please update the plugins to the latest version and re-test to see if the fix works for you.
Best,
