ParticipantHere is our calendar:
http://www.815life.com/events/When you click a date, it always shows ‘No events scheduled for (date). Please try another day.’ even though there are events scheduled for that date. What could cause this issue?

MemberHowdy Diane,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. Sorry to hear about this issue, hopefully I can help you out on this π
I’ve checked your site and see a bunch of JavaScript errors in the browser console. Can you check on those? Probably that’s causing the malfunction on ‘day view’.
Please check for those and let me know,
Best,

ParticipantHi Nico,
I show 2 JS errors, one for the search2.js file and one for loading Google maps api twice. I removed the search script and disabled the plugin that was causing the second google maps load. After clearing cache and refreshing, I confirmed there were no JS errors on the page. The problem still persists. What else could cause this problem?

MemberHi Diane,
Thanks for following up on this π
While I still see the JS errors in the console, this might not be related to them. Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem with our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.
Also, was this working well before and stopped working at some point?
Please let me know about the results of the test,

ParticipantHi Nico,
I put back the files that I removed to removed the JS errors after I confirmed that it wasn’t the problem. I’ve deactivated all the other plugins besides Advanced Custom Fields, which is needed for our site. Still had the problem. I am not at liberty to change our theme. We are using Enterprise Pro by Studio Press on the Genesis framework.
As far as I can tell, it was never working.

MemberHi Diane,
Thanks for following up on this once again, and also thanks for testing this without other plugins active. Sorry to hear the behavior is the same.
I would like to insist on trying this with default theme -and if possible even without ACF-, we have heard of various unexpected issues while integrating The Events Calendar with Genesis framework theme’s. I know this is not always possible on production but, Do you have a staging or local copy of the site where we can test this extensively?
Hope we can make this right soon,

ParticipantHi Nico,
I was able to test with ACF disabled and that didn’t make a difference. I think I’ve identified the trigger. The day view works correctly for manually entered events. However, it doesn’t show any events that we’ve imported. Is there a quick fix for this or will we have to manually create them all?
Thanks!

MemberHi Diane,
Glad to hear we are making progress on this, great catch!
Can you describe how you are importing the events? Do you notice any difference between imported and newly created events when editing them in the backend? Are start and end dates imported correctly?
Is there a quick fix for this or will we have to manually create them all?
Not sure about a fix with knowing for sure what’s happening here. One thing that might work is re-saving the ‘corrupted events’ in the backend, but I’m not 100% that will help π
Please let me know about the import process and if there are any difference with this events so we can continue to work on this.
Have a great weekend,

ParticipantI just noticed that if I go to ‘Events’ the ones that were imported are showing a date, but not a year. I will have our team look at the file they uploaded. I will get back to you next week to let you know if that was the issue.
