Events Calendar was working very well up until one of the latest 4.3 releases, at which point the Previous Events and Next Events in the List View stopped working. The Previous Day and Next Day links also stopped working.

We went through the process of disabling and re-enabling plugins one at a time with no issues. Switching our theme to Twenty Seventeen fixes the issue.

Our web developer told us that Divi is one of the most popular themes available, and that this was a CSS-wrapper issue. We’ve upgraded to the latest version of Divi and the problem is still unresolved.

We have a a DEV site at dev.stadia.cc in addition to the site in the link below.

Any help you can give us is much appreciated!

    David

PS — We are victims of the fatal error on Windows servers, so are running an old version until that issue is resolved.

    Hello David,

Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry about the issue you are having.

I tested locally the latest version with Divi and both list view and day view work just as expected.

Could you switch on Divi on your dev site so I can take a look?

Also a note, that if all goes according to plan then we are going to ship the next maintenance release in 1-2 days, which should fix the fatal issues. You also might want to wait for that.

Nonetheless let me know if you switch on Divi and I take a look.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello David,

I took a look at the site with Divi switched on.

On the list and the day view there is a jQuery error, that is why it is not working. If I remember correctly that was a bug in The Events Calendar 4.3.4.2 which got fixed later.

    You have 2 options here:

    1. Try with version 4.3.5 (for both TEC and ECPro) which you can download from your account. I think this bug was fixed in that already.

    2. Wait a couple hours when the current Maintenance Release comes out, which should fix the Windows server issue, and then all should be fine.

    Let me know.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Andras,

Thanks for the reply. We went ahead and updated to the new 4.4.1 release today on both DEV and LIVE sites, but the issue is still unresolved.

    Hello David,

    Thanks for updating and checking.

I tested it locally with the latest versions or our plugins and Divi + Divi builder as well and for me all is working fine. I will try to get an extra set of eyes to look at this, I ask for a bit of patience.

    Thanks,

    Andras

    Meanwhile I get someone…

If I see correctly, you have some customizations on the site (e.g. the prev/next links show at the top of the list). Could you disable all customizations and check if that changes anything?

    Thanks,
    Andras

David, could you zip up your theme folder and share it with me? I would like to run some tests with it.

    Thanks!

I am having the same issue, and would like to read what the outcome is. Was the issue solved? Can’t tell behind the private replies. Thanks

    Hello Rami,

Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry you are experiencing the same issue.

So far it looks like a local issue. I have tried to recreate this behavior on my local setup without success.

If you have done the conflict testing and you can confirm that:

    • the issue doesn’t happen with a default theme like twentyseventeen
    • the issue happens with only the calendar plugins and the Divi theme active

then the next step – what I also requested from David – would be setting up a new install from zero and check at every step if the issue appears and when does it appear. I would go 1) WordPress (obviously); 2) Calendar Plugins; 3) add some events to get a list view with pagination; 4) Divi; 5) the rest of the plugins, one or two at a time.

If the issue comes back with a brand new install after installing and activating Divi, then we are likely facing some server incompatibility.

It would also be great if you could share with me your system information in a private reply.

What server is your site running on? Linux or Windows? Or something more exotic? 🙂

Thanks and looking forward to your answer,
    Andras

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
