Just purchased and installed Events Calendar PRO. However, I am now getting the following warning:

// To begin using Events Calendar PRO, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar.

But the core The Events Calendar is updated! When I go to The Events Calendar in the plugin repo it says it is current and installed. And in my plugins list, the plugin showing as “The Events Calendar (Updated)” is current. Is this not the official plugin?

Please see screenshot of plugin screen here: screenshot of plugins screen

    Please advise.

    Hi,

Sorry for the issues. I can help out.

The screenshot is very helpful thank you.

It looks like the The Events Calendar (Updated) is a forked version of our plugin as it is 4.0.0 and we are only on 3.12.1.

The current version of the Events Calendar is on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/

And you can follow these steps to manually update:

    Manual Updates

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks
