New API key from Google, but still can't see Google MAP

    Hi,

    I have just obtained a fresh Google Maps API key but I still can’t see the MAP in my event, neither has this thread on the community forums helped: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/google-maps-not-showing-in-event/. I get a blank grey area instead.

    Help!

    Because the thread in the community forums didn’t help you, maybe your problem is slightly different. Could you share your System Information with me, so I could understand your configuration a little bit better?

    I’ve just done so. Also, because I can’t disable themes and plugins on a
    live site while troubleshooting this problem, I’m trying to make a
    separate version of the site as a staging site where I can do that. But
    that’s not done yet. Meanwhile, I’ve just disabled the Google Map for my
    event.

    Hi,

    The System Information didn’t go through. Could you copy it and paste it as a reply to this message? (you may set your reply as “Private”).

    Also, if you prefer to avoid making a staging site, you may consider using a plugin like Plugin Detective and/or Health Check, each of which provide a troubleshooting mode that aims to ensure your site will continue to operate as normal for regular visitors.

    I had the same issue:
    I created a new project and added the Javascript API and the Geocoding API
    Documentation is not clear
