According to https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/mini-calendar-widget-not-displaying-list-of-events/ there is now the capability to select more than one category for the widget. This is welcome indeed. Wonder how I missed the announcement. I also kept checking the widget, and it wasn’t obvious that I could add more than one.

However… what I really want is a “negative” filter. Our facility rents out space to “external” users, and that one category is the only one we don’t want to show as our own events.

So consider this a request (again) to add support for a negative filter. In the meantime, I’ll see if I can select all/most of the other ones and make do with that.

    Thanks!

    Hey Bob,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

That is a great idea for a feature on that widget. If you would like, you can vote for that on our UserVoice page. In the meantime, we do have a snippet that should help. Try the snippet found in this thread:

Get Category Event to appears only in Widget

You’ll need to update the conditions to match the category slug that you would like to exclude.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!
