GuestHi guys,
This is a pre-sale question. We just found out about your plugin yesterday and we are very happy with it ( thumbs up for this great plugin ). We want to use the plugin for our college website ( It’s a multisite with the main site and 7 departments sites ). We would like to Sync automatically on the College homepage’s calendar all the events that each of the department are posting, so when a visitor comes to the homepage and click on events they see everything that’s happening on the entire college.
Ideally, also it would be great if they could go on the homepage and filter ( if they want to ) to see the events from just one department etc.
Could you guys advise on exactly what product/add-dons do we need to purchase in order to achieve this?
Thank you in advance! And again, great plugin!!!

MemberHi.
To send events from Site B and Site C to Site A, you could use our iCal Importer add-on, which can assign a category to all events imported per iCal URL.
Therefore, at Site A, you could have the following:
- main/master calendar where all the site’s events appear: http://wpshindig.com/events/ (Site A’s calendar)
- WP Meetups category calendar: http://wpshindig.com/events/category/wp-meetups/ (or “Site B” category on Site A)
- Learning category calendar: http://wpshindig.com/events/category/learning/ (or “Site C” category on Site A)
To be clear, this setup isn’t any different on multisite vs importing from sites on other domains.

If you want each site’s iCal URL to output more than just the current month’s events: here’s an installable .zip file (install it at your Plugins screen) that adds two URLs:
- example.com/events/?ical=1&tribe_display=recently-published
- example.com/events/?ical=1&tribe_display=year
The first is useful when folks are trying to use the iCal importer to pull events from one website to another. It will contain any recently published or modified events. Note: It is subject to the postsperpage setting in WP-Admin > Events > Settings.
The second exports this year’s events (from January through December).
If preferable, there’s a code snippet to share just the events one year out from today. Let me know if this plugin works for you or if you want the code for exporting one year from today.

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
