GuestWe have a four-day event with multiple workshops, meals and social events on each day. Even with Pro I’m not sure I see a way to display everything.
We want to either display or link to speakers, workshops and their descriptions, etc.
Will Pro allow us to do that?

MemberHi Ricci,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m pretty certain that we can figure out a way to get all of the information you’re looking to share onto your calendar, but how we might achieve that will depend upon your exact requirements here. Can you provide any specific details on what type of presentation you’re looking for? Do you need each individual event within the four-day “master” event to have its own event listing? Will you be collecting RSVPs or selling tickets to your events? Any information you can provide will help us to make better recommendations for your ideal setup! 🙂

ParticipantEach day of the event has “events” – workshops, meals, and evening social events. Ticket sales are already underway on Eventbrite (I didn’t know!!) and so that’s not an issue for this portion of the data.
Let’s take a Friday. We have a 9am opening plenary in x room. At 10:30 the plenary is over and the workshops begin. There are tracks (5 tracks) and workshops that are in each track and in 7 different rooms. 7 individual workshops that will take place until noon. At noon there is a luncheon with a guest speaker. At 2:30 there will be 7 more individual workshops, and then 7 more at 4pm. At 7:00pm there is an evening event that will run until midnight.
For each workshop there is at least one presenter, often more than one. And ideally the display for the workshop would link to presenter bios that would show things like twitter handles, etc.

ParticipantI should have added to the above comment that the event itself has a website and so I believe I could use the event function to list the workshops (since I don’t need an over-arching event description/widget). But I saw someplace that the limit is 10 events. If that’s right, this won’t come anywhere near meeting my needs. I did, fwiw, but the $89 pro.

MemberHi Ricci,
Thanks for following up here! I’d suggest having a separate event for each smaller event that occurs within this larger event. Multiple scheduled events will still show on the same day (or you can switch to list view rather than calendar view to display more content), and you can designate them all as part of a common larger event by specifying that event name in the title, description, or even the event category. There shouldn’t be any issues with scheduling multiple events on the same day and time, and our event descriptions do support rich text formatting, so you can use these to share presenter info, images, links, or any other content that’s relevant to your events.
There is definitely no 10-event limit on any of our plugins, so you can feel free to create as many events as you’d like without fear! (If you should happen to recall where you might have seen this suggested, I’d love to take a look and see if there’s any other misinformation that we can clear up.)
I hope that helps to give you some ideas for how your content might work in this setup! Let me know if you should have any other questions or concerns–I’m glad to assist. Thanks again! 🙂

ParticipantThis is fabulous! Thanks! I can’t find the 10 event limit, but I thought I saw it more than once!
I did note, when I did some test entries, that I couldn’t search them for content (or presenter) on my website. Easily fixed?

MemberHi Ricci,
You’re very welcome! 🙂 Thinking of it now, is it possible that you may be remembering the 10-site activation limit for our Event Aggregator plugin licenses? It’s the only reference to the number 10 that I can think of off the top of my head–if that’s not it and you should remember or come across any references at a later date, please do let us know!
When searching for test entries on your site, are you using a site-wide search or the events-specific search that’s on the main calendar page? Either way, this should be easily fixable, yes. If you’re still having trouble (and you’ve already purchased a license for Events Calendar PRO), please feel free to go ahead and open a new support thread on our PRO forum, and we’ll be more than glad to take a closer look.
Thanks, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
