ParticipantThe calendar has been working perfectly in every browser I’ve tried (chrome, firefox, IE6) except for Safari. Every time I open our calendar page on Safari on desktop or mobile, I am unable to advance beyond the first month. I’ve tried disabling all other plug ins and reverting to the 2011 WP theme to no avail. Any idea why this is happening?

MemberHi – I’m sorry to hear you’re hitting difficulties.
I can definitely see that it is working as expected with the browsers available to me and a colleague independently checked using Safari and found no problem.
Can you confirm if this has been resolved since you initially posted the issue? Or else could you try clearing your browser cache and test again?
Failing that please let me know that you are still experiencing difficulties and if you could provide a note about the version of Safari you are using that would be appreciated.
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks Barry. The issue has still not been resolved. I’m using Safari 5.1.7 and still experiencing the same problem when i try to advance out of august into september.

MemberI see.
From what I gather, the 5.x branch of Safari is a comparatively old one and this may explain why we couldn’t replicate the problem.
Is it possible for you to upgrade? Unfortunately, the reality is that we can’t support all versions of all web browsers and so definitely encourage staying current in this regard.
Does that help?

ParticipantHi Barry,
Sorry for the delayed response. I’ve tried using the most up to date version of safari on a laptop as well as on an iphone and am still experiencing the same issue.

MemberHmm, I’m sorry it’s still a problem for you.
Unfortunately we just can’t see the problem – a number of different team members have checked this out with fairly up-to-date copies of Safari running on a variety of devices (including an iPhone) and navigating forwards and indeed backwards in month view works as expected.
As you can appreciate, this makes it a little tricky to troubleshoot.
What are the actual version numbers of the browsers you tested this with most recently?

is the way that I just disabled the AJAX to skirt the issue. The suggestion comes from this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/ajax-in-calendar-view-not-working/
There is also this solution to a similar issue that might help some people:

MemberAt this point I’ll go ahead and close the issue as I’m not sure there’s much more we can offer (and I’m guessing you’ve worked around this or it’s no longer a problem since there’s been no update for quite a while now, strawberrymansion). If we can help with anything else though please do open a new thread.
Thanks!
