Month View Export Calendar After Search not working as expected

Hi,

In EventCalendar Month View after search is not working as expected

When i get into month view Use Search By Location field, I see results in the month view. When i click on Export Calendar button it leads me to blank page instead of downloading ics file.

Can you please help

Hi,

Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help troubleshot them with you.

I tested this out on my site and was able to get the iCal file to download for me.

Let me know if that finds a conflicts or resolves the issue and we can go from here.

Hi Brian

When i changed the Theme, as per the Conflict document. Checked the following scenarios, Issue still happens,

The issue happens in all changed Themes.
Cleared the browser cache
We have only Event Calendar Plug-in, so cannot inactive other plug-ins in the wordpress

I checked your link and nothing on it works for me. Not even the base url.

Is this a staging site? And do you have a live link to the events page?

So it looks like on your site the url is this:

/conf/icx/

Once you do a search it changes to this:

/conf/icx2015-05/

Can you change to use the Post Name for your Permalinks by changing the setting here:

Admin > Settings > Permalinks

Let me know if that helps.

1. I click on the Month link, Search by location, click on one event — from that page use browser back button to go back to month view — Then i get blank page instead of month view

I believe this is related to the above issue as the url is changing.

2. This is not related to the issue — In the URI for month view i observed eventDisplay param defines the view. When i click on the Month view click with out wordpress login, it displays list view for first type, when refreshed the same URI it displays Month View, Is this happening because i selected list as the default view ? Or any other reason?

When you have the list view as default and go to the Views page and eventDisplay is not in the url it will go to the default view as selected in the event settings.

Thanks for the quick reply.

For #1, When i changed permalinks to use post name it seems to be fixed.
For #2, That seems different, Did you mean that irrespective of what you select it is going to pick default option first and it prevents me to use direct links for the views, Do we have any kind of solution for this?

For the 2nd point there are direct links to the views.

These all worked for me:

Month View:
yoursite.com/?post_type=tribe_events&eventDisplay=month

List View:
yoursite.com/?post_type=tribe_events&eventDisplay=list

Photo View:
yoursite.com/?post_type=tribe_events&eventDisplay=photo

Do those not work for you?
