ParticipantHi, I’m using the Free version of EC with the community events add-on. A problem that I’m having is that when I select a different month to view, the month-to-month navigation suddenly mis-aligns and overlaps my title, navigation, etc.

MemberHi Corey,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. This sounds suspiciously like a theme conflict to me. I definitely recommend that you try this on the default Twenty Eleven theme and see if the same thing occurs. If so, do let us know- that might mean it’s a bug and we’ll need to look into this further.
If it does end up being a theme conflict, I recommend that you get in touch with the theme developer. They may be able to shed some light on the issue and help find a way to make the theme compatible. We can only provide minimal support on theme conflicts, unfortunately, but do please keep us posted. We strive to make our plugin as versatile and compatible as possible so users can use there preferred theme without trouble.
Cheers,

ParticipantIt appears to be happening only on pages that have no events on them. So If I have events from oct-december, I can cycle through the pages fine. But as soon as there’s a month without events (i.e. January) The month-to-month navigation alignment gets messed up and the ‘event list’ and ‘calendar’ buttons disappear.
Are pages without events styled in a different way, or possess a specific line of code or anything that I should be aware of?

ParticipantIt’s actually this same issue discussed here:
Have you been able to solve this yet?October 24, 2012 at 7:41 am #27115Barry
MemberHi Corey – Leah’s had to pop out so I’m jumping in here: what I’d say is, if this is definitely the same problem, a fix is in the works and we’ll see it in a future release.
Rob had mentioned version 2.1 and we aren’t quite there yet; that said the other thread was obviously created quite some time ago now – so bear with me while I check into this.

MemberSo I researched this (our reference for this problem is #14186) and my understanding is that:
- It only affects certain themes
- The devs are looking at ways of avoiding this conflict for a future release
In the meantime, there is a handy FAQ document for this issue – if you follow the steps contained in there does that solve this for you?
If not can you provide a little more information about the theme and plugins you are using (and also try our standard troubleshooting steps of deactivating everything but our plugins – then checking to see if the problem remains)?
