ParticipantISSUE ONE – The event calendar I created is indecipherable on my mobile devices. Before I put the newly created site online I would like to correct this.
ISSUE TWO – I have set up 3 Event categories. I would like each of 3 pages I have that use Event Calendars to use each of those categories only. I looked at support FAQ’s but those instructions created new Menu links and created new pages. I need to conform existing pages with tables to show only single category events.
One of the pages that needs a specific Event category shown (only)- Needs “ADULT ONLY SESSIONS’ category

MemberHi Art!
Thanks for reaching out to us and for using our plugins! 🙂
Let me try to help you with that.

This could be related to a theme conflict, so could you please try switching to a default theme like twentyseventeen and see if that solves it?

If I understand correctly, you want to show events for only one of those categories you created. You can do that by using one of our available shortcodes here > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/
For example you can use a shortcode like the following that will show a list view of events that were assigned the “ADULT ONLY SESSIONS” category:
[tribe_events view="list" category="ADULT ONLY SESSIONS"]I hope that helps! Let me know if you have other questions and I’d be happy to help.

ParticipantHello,
I had figured out the Category specific calendars before your reply…thank you.
Still I am having problem with my mini-calendar view. I have attached a screen grab of how the dates on the calendar look on mobile. If it can be fixed that would be great. On the page I have a weekly event view calendar that shows this week’s events and a Mini-Calendar below it that gives the customer a desktop look at months’ events. I would like he mini calendar to look correct in mobile view, but as a default can the mini calendar default at mobile view to monthly. I made that setting in ‘settings’ and it did not work.
See attached.

MemberHi Art!
I’m glad you could make the category calendars work as you wanted! 🙂
Regarding the mobile view, it seems the screenshot didn’t upload somehow. Could you please try sending it out again?

I’m not sure what setting is not working for you. Could you please tell me which is the setting? You can also send us a screenshot of it.
Thanks,

ParticipantWould vastly prefer to have a scaled mini-calendar view over a default mobile list or weekly view.

MemberHi Art!
Thanks for coming back with the screenshot and the link to the calendar.
There seems to be a conflict with the mini calendar css styles. This could be related to a plugin or theme conflict, so could you please go through the complete steps in this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ and let me know what you can find in the process?
Thanks,

ParticipantTheme problem. Looked good in Twenty-Sixteen. Is there a work around?

ParticipantTwenty sixteen works fine. My template ‘Pharmacy” doesn’t work with even with most of the plugins disabled.
The only plugins I have active are
Beaver builder
Pharmacy customizer
Pws custom templates
Event calendar
Event calendar pro
Ultimate add-on for beaver.Art

MemberHi Art!
Thanks for checking that! This is mostly sure a theme issue.
Having a closer look at the mini calendar in your site, I could spot a conflict in some styles that are applying to the mini calendar table that are not coming from our plugins. You can see in the following screenshot those styles applying to the ‘td’ elements > https://cloudup.com/cXRWibKUHAM
You should see if those styles are coming from your theme. If so, you should see if there is an option in your theme to disable them in the templates where you want to render the mini calendar. I’m not familiar with the Pharmacy theme but perhaps you can contact the theme authors to see if they can help you with this issue.
I hope that helps! Let me know if you have other questions and I’ll try to help as much I can.

ParticipantI decided to have the mini calendar on that page visible on desktop just not show up at all on Large or Medium devices. For now.
Ultimately I’d like to have mini calendar default to list view on mobile. I check off that option on EVENT SCHEDULER ‘settings’, but it’s not working.

MemberHi Art!
I’m not sure what the event scheduler setting is that you are referring to. Could you please tell me where are you setting that? perhaps you can send me a screenshot of it.
Thanks,

ParticipantI am not at my computer now, but I believe there are calendar settings for the event calendar plugin. In the ‘Display’ tab there was a view on mobile option. I chose ‘list’.
Am I crazy, is their no such plugin setting?
