ParticipantSince the update to the events calendar 4.0. and the events calendar pro to version 4.0. there are no structured event data anymore shown in the widget event list (https://developers.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/).
ex. version 3.12.6: http://www.stadtfuehrungen-in-muenster.de/stadtrundfahrt-muenster.html (with structured event data)
ex. version 4.0.5 / 4.04. (pro): http://5.k3.de/ (no structured event data)I was wondering, if you could tell me, how to reactived the structured event data for all events shown in the widget.

MemberHi Lars. Thanks for the links to help address your question.
I see these 2 links are using different themes.
Also, the 2 widgets definitely have different markup:
I see http://5.k3.de/ is using the Avada theme, which I believe includes a built-in copy of The Events Calendar and modifies some of its output. I would suggest trying the Twenty Fifteen theme on that site and seeing if the markup changes.
One way to tell is to open the Chrome Inspector (or just View Page Source) and see if you find “dtstart”. If you do, it should have all the other markup required for Google Rich Snippet processing.
If the theme switch doesn’t make it happen, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If you determine it’s the Avada theme changing our plugin’s output, please contact them for support regarding this issue.
I’m looking forward to hearing back from you.
Please let me know what you find out.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
thanks for the quick reply.
Both URLs were using the same theme. Just to make sure it is not the theme. I also checked this issue already with the Twenty Fifteen theme. Anyhow, it’s installed now on 5.k3.de and I deaktivated all plugins but the events calendar and the events calendar pro.
The problem remains. Any ideas?

MemberI have been informed by a developer that our plugin switched from microformats to JSON-LD since v4.0.
I verified your 5.k3.de site acts the same as my local testing site:
- archive views (e.g. Event List Widget and main /events link) do not output JSON-LD data
- single events do output JSON-LD data (View Source and find ‘ld+json’ in the page)
You can learn more about JSON-LD at https://developers.google.com/schemas/formats/json-ld
Please test a few of your single event pages in Google’s testing tool and then feel free to let me know your thoughts on this change.
Thank you.

MemberHello,
Thank you for reporting this issue. We weren’t able to get a fix for it into our upcoming release (4.1). However, please know that the problem is still on our radar and is ticketed within our system to be addressed in a future maintenance release. We’ll do our best to keep you posted when we are able to get a solution in place. Thank you for your patience while we improve and expand our plugins.

MemberHello!
I’m happy to report that we have been working on this feature for our upcoming 4.2 release. The new features for each of our plugins are currently being tested by our QA team and by our beta testers. Soon we’ll be putting the finishing touches on the code and then shipping the new versions out to our lovely customers.
Thank you for your patience while we worked on this. We appreciate your support! Keep an eye out for version 4.2 coming your way in the coming weeks.
Cheers,
Leah
