Eeek! It IS a plugin conflict – I think. 🙁 I thought I did that typical troubleshooting, but must have not deactivated everything. Because I just tried again. I deactivated everything and my paragraph breaks magically reappeared here (http://www.runwildmissoula.net/event/saturday-breakfast-club-runwalk/2014-01-25/)! So I started activating plugins one at a time to see what was causing the problem. And it seems that when I activate the WPMU Membership Premium premium plugin, my paragraph breaks disappear. I’ve never ran into a problem caused by a plugin conflict – what do I do now?
Well, first, congratulations on figuring out what was going on. 🙂 Really nice work!
As far as where to go from here, you have a couple of options. First, you could try another plugin that does something similar but is known to work well with our plugin. Members would be a good option: http://wordpress.org/plugins/members/.
Alternatively, you could try to act as the go between to try to figure out where things are breaking down. Since our plugin has about 10 times as many downloads as the one you’re reporting a conflict with, we’d appreciate it if you’d ask them to take a look at where their plugin may be gumming up the works on the admin side. I just wanted to circle back to this post now that I have reached out to the other plugin’s developers.
They said they would work to install a permanent fix in a future version of the Membership Premium plugin, but in the meantime, here is the thread to a post on their forum about how to add that fix in case anyone else has this problem:
