ParticipantHello Support,
Love the Calendar plugin. We used the free version for a week. Decided to upgrade. We have the key. We are missing the License Key tab.
We are using 3.9.1, not 3.9.2. Is that an issue? How do we upgrade. Do we just delete the plugin and reinstall. Will will lose our events?
We are using the latest version of WP.
Thanks in advance.

MemberHi there, Dennis! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums–I’m stoked you went PRO and hope you’re enjoying it so far. 🙂
Good question. I have seen this come up a couple of times in the past, and it’s typically the result of using different versions of The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO. Check to make sure you’re running the latest version of both plugins (TEC 3.9.1, TEC PRO 3.9.2).
If that doesn’t do the trick, please check out this article which helps troubleshoot it a little further and let me know what you find.
Cheers!

ParticipantGeoff,
Thanks for the super quick reply. I have the latest version of the plug-in downloaded. Do I delete the old plug-in (3.9.1) and install the latest 3.9.2? And will I lose my events if I do this?
Thanks,
Dennis

ParticipantGeoff,
We installed the Pro version. But when we install the key. We get this error.
Sorry, key validation server is not available.

MemberHi there, Dennis! Thanks for following up.
Just to confirm: you now have The Events Calendar 3.9.1 and The Events Calendar PRO 3.9.2 installed and activated, correct?
You’re totally good to delete the plugin and update–you will not lose your events. However, I always suggest backing up your site and database whenever updating any themes or plugins.
Thanks!

MemberHi Dennis,
Shoot, sorry this is still an issue here.
Do you find that other plugins can be updated through WordPress (i.e. not manually) without any difficulties? Do you have a similar license key for any other plugins?
Finally, I know it can be a pain and see that you tried it earlier, but is it possible for you to try temporarily deactivating your other plugins and see if one of them is interfering? It’s unlikely, but not impossible. If you need help, we have a handy guide for testing for theme and plugin conflicts.
Thanks for your patience while we work through this. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of things and resolve the issue.
