Hi,

I have a few questions:

1. Is it possible, when clicking an event, to have the event page appear in a pop-up rather than a separate page?
2. I’m confused by your position on WPML. In the KnowledgeBase article you say “Starting with version 3.12 we’ll be supporting WPML compatibility...” In this post you say “The Events Calendar is not compatible with WPML“, then provide a link on how to get it working. What exactly is the current situation, and what are the timescales to finish whatever remaining work you may have?
3. The second most voted request on the UserVoice page is charging for event subnission. Is there any movement on this?
4. Is it possible to add aditonal fields to the filter bar?
5. Does the plugin or any of the addons connect to your servers for anything? If so what?
6. I notice in a recent blog post you mentioned a new version. Is that a version 4 or a version 3.x?
7. Facebook event importing is important to me. I was a bit surprised that the video didn’t show what the events look like once they are imported into The Event Manager. Specifically, what information is brought across from Facebook?
8. On the monthly calendar, is it possible to display events from today forward, hiding past events?

It could be with a customization, but that is beyond the support we can provide.

The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro are compatible with WPML. The other add-ons are not and I do not have a timeline when that might happen.

We are working on it, but I do not have a timeline when it might be released.

Not yet, but that is a feature we are adding in 4.0

The add-ons all connect to the servers to check for updates, but nothing else.

Version 3.12 is the latest version and 4.0 is next.

They look exactly like the other events and pull in the Organizer, Venue, Title, Featured Image, Dates, and Event Information in Facebook.

It could be possible with a customization, but we do not have a feature to do that.

Thanks for the help. Regarding WPML and the filter bar. Does that mean that it will not be possible to display the filter bar in other languages, neither the boiler plate, nor the values in the drop-downs?

Hi,

That is correct the Filter Bar does not support WPML so although it might work as you intend it is not directly supported.

I’m still a little confused by this response, probably because I haven’t set an WPML site yet. I’ve read the documentation, but I haven’t gone through the procedure.

You mention that it might or might not work. What then is the difference between a supported plugin and an unsupported one? Is it just that you need to check the plug-in to see if you need to do anything?

Reading though the blog post on making the core plugins compatible with WPML, it seems that it took you a long to complete. But with the filterbar it might be that you don’t have to do anything? Or perhaps the work you have done on the core plugins will have covered the work necessary from the Filter Bar.

One more thought: it would be helpful if you could include WPML in the demo.

Sorry for the confusion.

Filter Bar is not supported for WPML.

We only Support The Events Calendar and Pro for WPML.

Filter Bar has the ability to edit the Labels in the Admin and that would then overwrite any language translation so that could create a conflict as it does not have the ability to create labels in the admin in different languages.

That is all the information I have on it.
