MemberGood Morning and Happy Holidays to The Tribal Council:
I have another puzzle that needs solving. I recently read the following post:
on how to add a category link list to the gridview of The Events Calendar so that you can display ONLY a certain category. How can I do this for the Mini Calendar?
I attempted to paste the same code into the “table-mini.php” above the month and I got the list of categories to display, but when I click on any of the links, it just takes me to the full grid view of that category that I selected.
What I’m looking for is a link that will only display the category selected in the Mini Calendar.
I’ve seen similar calendars that perform this, but they are more AJAX based. Can this be done?

MemberNot sure how doable this is, Murphy, but I know a few folks have requested it. Let me see if Jonah has any suggestion. Note that he’s out a bit this week but will be hitting the threads at some point before Friday – so you’ll get a response on this at that point.

ParticipantI would also love to get this going – I’m trying to code up something to do something similar:
I have built 2 separate menus. One with the categories that I’ve setup with sub-catagories. This is for the calandar view – they are working perfectly.
I am now, however stuck on the ‘list view’. I’d like my users to view the list by category. This is super NB 🙂
Hope you gents figure it out soon 🙂 If I get anywhere, I’ll let you know!

MemberHey guys. So I’ve had a couple of our devs look at this over the past week, and what’s being requested here is no trivial feat. This would require a bit of analysis of the code and possibly some refactoring of the mini calendar widget to get it working right. We can definitely include something along these lines in a future release if there is enough demand for it (throw your vote in the Feature Request thread – https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/ – if you agree). Sorry I couldn’t offer up more here.
To answer Christopher’s question about getting the dropdown (from https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/all-events-category-list/) to work for event lists (as opposed to the calendar grid). I’m not 100% sure on this, but it looks like what you want can be accomplished by just adding ‘upcoming’ to the URL within the
