Map location not showing up

    One of my communities just called and asked what that blank box is on their event page? I know it’s where the Google Maps is supposed to show up. All the boxes are ticked on the venue. I even tried unchecking, saving and rechecking. Still nothing. All the other venues show up properly. Any ideas?

    We are sorry to hear about the maps not showing up for that community.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    First off, could you go to that venue “Edit Venue” screen and check the “Use latitude and longitude” checkbox and see if that helps.

    Secondly, I am noticing that the Google Maps API seems to be missing from your site (according to the Google Chrome Developer console). Please read and follow this guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/

    Thanks. When I checked the lat/long box, it gave me blanks for the numbers, which I didn’t know, but I updated anyhow and now the map is showing. Weird – but if it works!
