ParticipantI show Calendar view by default, but the user can switch to List View. But the list view starts from 2014. Is there a way to make it start with the current date automatically?

KeymasterHi Gregory,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you figure out what’s going on! List view should start from the current date by default. Are you referring to your main events page, or are you using a shortcode or another page (such as a category page) where this is happening?
First, can you try updating to the current versions of The Events Calendar (4.6.12) and Events Calendar Pro (4.4.24.1) and see if that makes a difference? If you don’t see a prompt to update in the Plugins section of your Dashboard, you can do so manually by following these instructions. Make sure to clear out any your cache within W3 Total Cache after updating to be sure that you are seeing the current version of the page.
If this doesn’t help, the next step would to test for conflicts with your theme and other plugins by running through these steps. If you don’t have a testing site already, the WP Staging plugin will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.
Please let me know how this goes!
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantThanks for the reply. I ran the test on a dev environment with Twentyseventeen and it worked fine, so the issue is indeed the theme. It helped me narrow down the issue also.
With my theme, when I switch to List view, it appends a broken querystring to the URL
/calendrier/liste/?tribe-bar-date=DateBut when I switch to List view with Twentyseventeen theme, it doesn’t (which is the correct behaviour that gives the expected result):
/calendrier/liste/To help me diagnose where the problem can be coming from, can you tell if the above gives you any hints as to what may be causing it? I disabled my custom functions but the problem still persists.
Thanks again.

KeymasterHi Gregory,
I’m glad to hear that you were able to find the source of the issue! I’m not familiar with the theme that you’re using, and we are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for theme conflicts. However, you might try the following:
- Checking for Javascript errors on the page by right-clicking, clicking “Inspect” or “View source”, and going to the console – try switching the views to see if any errors appear
- Adjusting your permalink settings under Settings > Permalinks
If you do see any errors, please copy/paste them here. I’ll be happy to check with our developers to see if there is anything else we can recommend 🙂

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
