Lot of the same postst from Facebook

Hi!
We have a problem with many same posts appearing any time organizator (we are not creators of events on facebook) make a change, or as I can see even open it without editing. Is there any way to delete it automatically?

Hi,

I believe I have found the issue for the duplicating events and during my tests today I created a patch that worked for me in stopping the duplication of events.

The events that were duplicating were either past events from one day back or events that ended earlier in the current day. If you are having events duplicate beyond this time frame please let us know as that would be a different bug then this one.

To patch the issue please replace this file:

plugins/the-events-calendar-facebook-importer/src/Tribe/Importer.php

With the contents of this file:

I would recommend setting your import status to pending for Facebook just in case the patch does not work.

Please clear out any existing duplicates after adding the patch to prevent false positives.

Sorry but it’s not that.

Let’s explain it another way:

1. Action of the creator of the event on facebook: Open event and edit for ex. one word, click save.
2. What happens on my website: Plenty of events with the same link + sequence number.

The all have same time and day. The are the same events.

Def. status tu use for imported events: Published
Auto import from facebook = true
Import frequency: Hourly

You are asking for links to events from web site or facebook event link?

Hi,

That is an old event so not going to be helpful in finding the issue as it will not import anymore. Unless you see it still importing even though it is a past event.

Do you have any other future events that are duplicating?

I am testing an event on my site and changing information in Facebook to see if it then duplicates in WordPress.

I changed the title, venue, description, and those did not trigger a duplicate of events.

I will continue testing, but so far not able to replicate.

What steps are you taking to import it?

Are you putting the event id – 456637294531600

In the automatic update field? or do you have the Facebook Page id: Bemowskie.Centrum.Kultury in your automatic imports?

I have added the page id to my automatic imports for testing.

I will let you know what I find out.

Ok thanks. I am testing and so far not seeing any duplicates so not sure what the cause is.

I am going to continue to monitor.
