ParticipantHi There,
The location and keyword search have never worked on the site. Can you please advise how to get this feature to work as this is the reason for purchasing the PRO version of the plugin. It just returns a no results error.
Thank you

MemberHey Hillery
Can you start by going through our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/?ย I am wondering if you might have a plugin or theme conflict.ย
I tested your search bar on the calendar view (vs the list view that you linked to) and was able to get expected results from the search keyword and location.
We recommend conducting these tests on a staging server (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-using-wordpress-staging-site/).
Begin by deactivating all other plugins, using a theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and see if the issue still persists.
Also, double check for any other updates available (Dashboard ยป Updates).ย
Please let me know if the issue still persists after these tests.
Thanks

ParticipantHi Courtney.
Can you please show me where you tested this and saw it working.
I have tried changing the theme, turning off plugins and have updated the calendar plugin to the latest version (both the pro and free version) and it’s still not working as expected.
Thanks

MemberHey Hillery
Sure – sorry about that. http://wemoveshemoves.com.gridhosted.co.uk/events/month/?tribe-bar-search=aqua worked for me. The search works in month view and I skipped ahead to January.
It seems this is only happening in list view.
Are you able to see the search I’ve linked to displaying results?
Is there a chance your server was caching any results with your theme or plugins enabled?
Thanks

ParticipantI have used the month view and it does not work. If the date and keyword field are blank and I just search for example ‘Shenley’ it returns no results when I know there are results there.
does there have to be a keyword and location?

MemberHi there Hillery
I’ve checked in with our developers a bit further on this.
The best way to get “Shenley” to display in the search is by including it in your event descriptions.
The event keyword search is limited to event titles and descriptions by default, if the keyword relates to a venue or organizer title or description, users won’t get anything back unless that same keyword is also referenced in the titles/descriptions of the matching events.
Can you update a few of your events in their descriptions and let me know how it goes?
Thanks

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
