ParticipantHi
At the moment on the list view it is limited to 10 or less depending on the length of the excerpt. Is there a way to have an infinate scrolling or arrows to show more pages so that people can see more events on the list?October 10, 2017 at 3:27 pm #1361814Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Alyson and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. The short answer is yes, you can achieve that, but you will need to resort to some third-party plugin or custom code to do that: https://www.google.com.ar/search?q=wordpress+infinite+scroll&cad=h
Just to set expectations, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues.
We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.
With that in mind, a popular option seems to be using Jetpack’s feature for that. Here are a couple of threads to help you implement that:
- https://wordpress.org/support/topic/infinite-scroll-add-custom-post-type-to-blog-homes-infinite-scroll/
- https://www.lockedowndesign.com/infinite-scroll-with-wordpress-custom-post-types/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

Thank you for this.
I did try a plugin for infinite scrolling but it only works on post pages and using your events plugin creates events that are like posts but not posts if you know what i mean. So it did not work.October 16, 2017 at 9:25 pm #1364405Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Alyson,
Thank you for replying.
You are correct, events are custom post types.
They are typically displayed as WordPress archives. You are right, you might need to:
- Find a plugin that supports both custom post types and archive pages and configure that plugin correctly.
- Customize an existing plugin so that it does.
If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you
Best regards,
Geoff B.
