ParticipantHi there,
In the calendar we have setup, if you click on the number on each day, the link is broken and doesn’t work. Here’s the calendar: https://www.communityactionduluth.org/calendar-events/?date=2018-06-21&tribe_event_display=month
So if you click on any number for each day OR the “View all events” on a day that has a lot of events, the link is broken and leads you to this, for example on June 21st, https://www.communityactionduluth.org/calendar-events/2018-06-21/.
But now if I go through the “Day” view on the calendar, these pages do work, like so: https://www.communityactionduluth.org/calendar-events/?action=tribe_event_day&tribe_event_display=day&tribe-bar-date=2018-06-21
Can you tell me what is going on here and how we can fix this please?
Thank you,
MarkMay 16, 2018 at 5:42 am #1531571Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Mark,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
As a first step, can you update all Events Calendar related plugins to their most recent versions and see if that helps to resolve your issue?
If not, after doing so, can you try flushing your permalinks by going to Settings < Permalinks and Save Changes. You will want to clear your browser and site cache as well after doing this.
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Jamie,
Thank you for the reply.
I updated each of the event calendar related plugins, and still experienced the same issue.
I then went into the permalink settings, and re-saved them. Also cleared browser and site cache, yet unfortunately, am still experiencing the same issue.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Mark,
Thanks for running through those steps.
As a next step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime
