ParticipantHello,
I recently purchased a license renewal for my site, same one I had previously. But upon entering the license key it said I need a multi site license. My site is really one website that uses multidirectional for different cities. Anyways, I have added cities since first purchase, so I would like to know how I can proceed…thank you. Order #1198906 was placed on November 28, 2016December 9, 2016 at 11:16 am #1204089Geoff B.
MemberGood afternoon James and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you have encountered with your license renewal.
I would love to help you with this topic. What might be going on is that your site is set up on a multisite install, hence the message.
The good news is that you can totally use a personal license on only one of these sites as long as it’s setup properly (at a site level and not at a multi-site level).I recommend reading this: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/multisite-license/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Thanks for the reply. However I have more than 10 sites and need them on all of them actually, so I think I need the multi-site license. Which is fine…what I’m wondering however is if I can be refunded for this license, or a credit issued. Also when I made this purchase(under the assumption that what I had already was what I needed again) I used a promo code that gave me %30 off. Will you still honor this?? What I don’t really understand though is how my previous version worked on the multi-site I have…which actually has 25 sites on it. Anyway, I would have ordered the multisite license had I known what I had wouldn’t work again and that it even existed…thanks for any help you can give me with this!

MemberGood evening James,
Thank you for writing back.
There is actually no upgrade path from personal to multisite.
The good news is you are fully entitled to a refund if you want one since you are within 30 days of your purchase. To obtain the refund, you just need to follow the procedure described here.
We will totally honour that discount. Simply write to us using the contact form here: https://theeventscalendar.com/contact/ and make sure you reference this thread.
As for why things worked before for you, I am not quite sure.
Have a great day!
