    Hi there,

I started a ticket in January 2015 about the issue of localhost installs being counted against licence keys:

    Developer License and localhost installs

That ticket has been closed, so I can’t reply on it. Localhost installs are still counting against license keys. I think this is unfair and penalises good development practices of setting up a local or test server for client sites.

With my license for The Events Calendar Pro, citytatts.localhost is being counted as an install and using a licence key.

Hoping that you guys can resolve this issue that I opened in January?

David, I understand this is an important issue for you.

Here is our current knowledgebase article on the topic: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-for-your-live-and-dev-sites/

I’m not sure if that article existed at the time of your previous forum post or not, but it’s our current policy (as you’ve observed to create this new ticket).

I’ll pass along your feedback to management. If they have any other immediate thoughts to pass along to you, I’ll update this ticket.

    Hi Cliff,

OK I’ve read https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-for-your-live-and-dev-sites now and this does actually make sense.

    All good!
