Latest release install issue

The error reads –

To begin using Events Calendar PRO, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar.
To begin using The Events Calendar: Community Events, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar.
To begin using The Events Calendar: Filter Bar, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar.
To begin using The Events Calendar: Community Events Tickets, please install the latest versions of The Events Calendar, Community Events, Event Tickets, and Event Tickets Plus.
To begin using The Events Calendar: Facebook Events, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar.

When I try to install the Events calendar – I get –

Downloading install package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/the-events-calendar.4.0.6.zip…

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

Destination folder already exists. ……/public_html/eventscalendar/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/

Plugin install failed.

Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.

You cannot update a plugin manually if it already exists.

Follow these steps for manual updates:

Thanks for the reply. I was able to install the Events calendar plugin by downloading via WordPress site; renaming the plugin directory using File manager in cPanel; and then installing the plugin.

The site is now working fine.
