ParticipantHi!
I tried some plugins that allowed for different front and back end language but had to quit that.
Now I try to have only 1 language (da_DK).
Wp-config is set to: $locale=’da_DK’;
Database wp_options is set to WPLANG = da_DKBut the wordpress setting cannot be changed from the “English (US)” by saving in other language, even though backend clearly is in danish.
My problem is that certain other plugins, such as Events Calendar and Event Tickets apparently get confused and I end up with mix of english and danish.
So the question is, how do I force wordpress to report and respect da_DK, given the things I already did ?
Cheers

MemberGood afternoon Jens and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about your WordPress installation getting confused between languages.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

To make a long story short, here are a couple of ideas:
- The wp-config setting has been deprecated since WordPress 4.x (https://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language), so that won’t help 🙁
- I believe you would be better off by not tweaking the language setting directly in wp_options, but by using Settings > General > Site Language instead.
But the wordpress setting cannot be changed from the “English (US)” by saving in other language
You have not specified why the settings cannot be changed or what happens, but I am pretty sure that the issue here stems from trying to force the language by tempering with the wp_options table.
Simply put, after a database backup (and provided you are able to revert back to that backup), I believe you will need to remove that entry and/or repair to be able to use WordPress’s backend setting.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantThank you for your speedy reply. I managed to get the language changed and discovered that Event Ticket & Plus are not completed in translation.
I will look into improving that.
