KILLED QUERY error leading to timeouts

Hello,

After the last Community Events and Events Calendar Pro updates, i’m getting the killed query update similar to the one described here.

Problem is, I get this error when attempting to edit any event (front end displays fine), so I can’t accept new events submitted by our community. Any solution? We are using WP Engine for hosting. Here’s a sample error from our logs:

I’m sorry you are experiencing this issue. Let me try to help you with this one.

While I start investigating the issue I would kindly ask you to go through our conflict testing guide. That will help us eliminate the possibility of a conflicting plugin / theme. Let me know what you find.

I have followed the instructions in the link above– no change.

I should also mention that our implementation worked great until the most recent updates of Events Calendar Pro and Community Events. I would hate to revert, but might need to in the interim.

We have a bugticket on file for the first issue with high priority. I’ll try to see if we can fit it in the next MR early December.

If the issue persists and makes your site difficult to use, then rolling back to an earlier version is an absolutely valid workaround. Events Calendar PRO 4.4.18 should be free of that issue. You can download earlier versions from Downloads in your account.

Once you have downgraded, please check if you are still getting the other issue you reported in your second post.

I have received some news. The fix will not make it into the next MR unfortunately, but we definitely will try to squeeze it in the one after – hopefully still before Christmas. Please hang in there.
