Javascript Error

We recently updated to the latest versions of WordPress and the Event Calendar plugins. On our calendar submission page, none of the features that require javascript are working (i.e. the image uploader).

Looking at the console, we see SyntaxErrors for unexpected tokens, and it looks like paragraph tags are for some reason being inserted into the JS code for the event module. See attached image.

Any ideas?

This sounds like a conflict because I couldn’t reproduce the JavaScript errors in my own WordPress install while having all Modern Tribe plugins and Twenty Seventeen theme enabled.

As I can see from your System Info you are running Community Events version 4.5.5. Could you please update it to version 4.5.6 and see how it goes?

If the plugin update doesn’t help you to solve your problem, I would suggest you to run a Conflicts Test.

You can start the test by temporarily deactivating all of your plugins (except Modern Tribe plugins) and changing your theme to another one like Twenty Seventeen and let us know if the issue persists after that.
