Items in "Event Calendar" meta box not saving all of a sudden

    Everything was working last week and now any and all the items in the meta box below the standard WYSIWYG edit are no long saving. In this video you can see I attempted to change the end time of an event and after pressing update and refresh, the time is back to the original. http://www.screencast.com/t/3sX4Ch2O

    A side note, this was for a a user with editor role in which I have customized the access control, but as I mention it was working. The only thing I have seen updated since then was the following on Sept 15th

    The Events Calendar PRO 4.2.5 – 4.2.6
    Event Tickets Plus 4.2.6 – 4.2.7
    User Role Editor 4.27.1 – 4.27.2
    The Events Calendar 4.2.6 – 4.2.7

    Good afternoon Nathan and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the recent inability to update items in the meta box.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    There could be many causes for this:

    1. Perhaps there is some glitch in the user role
    2. There could be some type of conflict (with a theme or a plugin)
    3. Perhaps there is something off at the database level

    In any case, here are a couple of things to try to pinpoint the issue:

    • Using that custom editor role, can you edit new events you create with that user ?
    • Using an admin role, can you edit these events meta
    • Can you  go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

      Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

      But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

      1. Make a backup of your database
      2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
