    Hi All, Trust you are all refreshed after you junket conference!

    Following on from this post: (I don’t see the link when I view – I hope you can! Title is “Updated to 4.4 and front page view not working in Safari”

    I have followed the suggestions and deactivated Event Rocket and installed a Redirector (Quick Redirects) but I am still having an issue with SAFARI not displaying the Photo content.

    The content is there as when you hover over where the content should be you see the URL of the link in the status bar and clicking takes you to the page.

    Doesn’t happen with firefox. I might try with a few other browsers later and report – but as I use a mac it is annoying. 🙂

    I’ll reply also with a link to a video showing the issue.

    Regards,

    Glenn.

    Howdy Glenn,

    I just wanted to checkin and let you know that our Mac folks have left for the day, and the only person left is me who owns a Windows computer. I am sending out the word for one of the people with access to Safari to have a looksie at your site first thing in the morning here in the States. Please pardon the delay there! We’ll get you a proper response as soon as we can.

    Brook,

    Thanks.

    I have installed 10.7 (Lion) as a virtual machine using Parallels. I didn’t have a more recent version to try on a VM.

    With the VM clean install the site works OK.

    Tried on my MacBook Pro with a new account. The problem happened as shown in the screen capture vid I sent you.

    So – Not sure if this is specific to my machine/install or my version of OSX. Just to be a pain I am running the new beta (10.11.4 Beta 4) and Safari 9.1 (11601.5.17.1). I understand that the beta might be an issue but it won’t be beta forever.

    Hopefully your mac guys might find an issue that eliminates my install. 🙂

    If anyone else want’s to head over to http://onin.melbourne and refresh the main page about 10 times and see if any of them don’t show the content (header and widgets normally load OK) then please let me know. 🙂

    Thanks.

    Glenn.

    Howdy Glenn,

    I am sorry, someone misunderstood my request here and assigned this topic to me instead of taking it. I just reassigned this topic to Geoff, he heads up our support team and runs Macs. Best of all he is usually on fairly early in the mornings Pacific Time, so hopefully this will result in the fastest response possible. 🙂

    Please let me know if you need anything in the mean time. Again, very sorry for the delay.

    Hi there, Glenn! Nice to see you again. 🙂

    So sorry for the trouble here with Photo View. There seems to be a glitch with iOS Safari causing this and maybe other browsers as well.

    Try adding this CSS to your theme’s style.css file or using a plugin like Simple Custom CSS as a workaround:

    .tribe-events-list.tribe-events-photo #tribe-events-photo-events {
    opacity: 1;
    }

    Does that do the trick for you? Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    Geoff,

    Thanks for the reply. I’m kinda relieved it wasn’t just me. 🙂

    I added the CSS in the header and I haven’t seen it fail as yet.

    Thx for your assistance. I imagine it will be rolled out next release? If so I’m glad I was able to play a part in some bug squishing…

    Regards,

    Glenn.

    Awesome, thanks for following up, Glenn! We do indeed have a ticket open for this issue and hope to roll out an official patch for it in an upcoming maintenance release. I definitely appreciate you bringing this up so we’re aware of it. 🙂

    Let us know if any other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help.

    Cheers!
    Geoff
