ParticipantHi Modern Tribe Support.
We have some issues with the Day View. It is showing ongoing views with repeated daily events and then only gets to today’s events. In other words today is the 24 November 2017 and the ongoing events are listing recurring events from the 1 November. Therefore there is a long scroll before you get to see what events are happening today. Is there any way to list today’s events before the ongoing events instead of having it below the ongoing events. Surely Today’s event should get priority.
The other problem we have is when creating a single, non re-occurring event, and then paste the link to Facebook, the post on Facebook is showing it as a recurring event with numerous days rather than just the single event day. We do not understand how Facebook is gathering this information which clearly is not on the page for the event. as it is not a recurring event. On the site it is listed as on the 1 December 2017, on Facebook it is saying it is on every Wednesday Thursday and Friday.
Please Help

KeymasterHi Martine,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Unfortunately, it is default behavior for Ongoing Events to appear first in Day View. In order to switch this up, it would require some custom coding on your end.
If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

Also, feel free to vote on this feature request, as we often implement features based on popularity:

Where are you posting the event in Facebook? Would you mind sharing the URL to the event on your site, and provide some more information about how that event is added to Facebook?
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Jaime
Thanks for the response. I will look into the custom coding for the ongoing events in day view.
With regards to the other issue, I am merely copying and pasting the link from the site to the FB page. I have attached a screenshot. The event is loaded as a one off and displays on the site as a one off – but somehow all kinds of additional unrelated info appears when the link is copy and pasted as an FB post
EG- this is the link copied of my website https://www.franschhoeklife.co.za/event/winemakers-dinner-at-holden-manz
Below is the same pasted link on FB ( although the event is only loaded as a one off on the 1st of December, on the FB link, under the image it states…”An event every week that begins……”I look forward to your suggestions
Kind regards

KeymasterHi Martine,
Thanks for that information. It seems that your screenshot did not attach, would you mind reattaching it?

I believe this link was missing from your response as well, would you mind including it?
Just as a test, I exported the event to my iCal and it was added properly, without repeating. I’m not sure why Facebook is reading the event as repeating, but perhaps after I see where/how you add to Facebook, I can provide some more clarification for you.
Thanks,
Jaime
