Issue with [tribe_formatted_event_date] shortcode

Hi, I’m using this shortcode [tribe_formatted_event_date id=’%post_id%’ format=’F j, Y g:ia’] in WpBakery Page Builder and getting this error:

The “id” argument for this shortcode is either missing, or this post does not exist, or this post is not of the proper post type. (This message is only shown to Contributors and higher level users.)

The reason I need to do this is that I need to retrieve a properly formatted date in a grid displaying all the events (as you can see in the screenshot I attached to this post).

Is there any way I can fix this?

First of all, could you make sure you have the latest version of this extension? It should be version 1.1..0 and if you don’t have this version, you may find it on this page: https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/formatted-event-date-shortcode/

Then, be sure you don’t place apostrophes or quotation marks before and after the id. It should be something like id=1234 instead of id=’1234′.

After those verifications, if you still encounter an issue, I would need to investigate further. In order to do so, I would need you to share your System Information.

Thank you, now it’s working, the problem is that I need the post id to be dynamic, and I can’t seem to make it work by using %post_id%…

Indeed, that shortcode is used to embed a specific event. If you want the post to be dynamic, you’ll need to customize our plugin. In order to do so, please read carefully the different resources on this page: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/.
