ParticipantHello,
Following up on this post: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/update-caused-error-message-above-tickets/
I updated the plugins on a staging site (exact copy of the live one) and did not see the error. When I updated on the live site, I did see the error. When I switch to TwentySeventeen I do not see the error.
For your reference the error is:
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home8/anschutz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/functions/template-tags/general.php on line 329
class=”post-22802 tribe_events type-tribe_events status-publish hentry tribe_events_cat-guided-tours cat_guided-tours”>Any ideas?

KeymasterHi Ryan,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂
Could you provide me an URL where the problem happens?
You said you updated the plugins, but did you update them to their most recent version? On your System Information, it says that you have The Events Calendar PRO version 4.4.20, whereas the newest version is 4.4.26. Same with The Events Calendar, where it seems you have 4.6.9 instead of 4.6.16.
Also, is your Enfold theme up to date?
Cheers,

ParticipantHi Jeremy,
I had to revert the plugins back to their previous versions as this was on our live site. We don’t want customers seeing an error like that.
Enfold is not up-to-date. I have tested it and we are seeing another issue so I am staying at our current version for now.
Like I mentioned, the events calendar update worked fine on the staging site (on bluehost subdomain), but not on the live one (a separate bluehost account). I am trying to figure out what the difference might be.
Thanks,

ParticipantAttached is a screenshot of the error. I updated the PRO plugin and I did not see the error. When I updated the standard calendar plugin it triggered the error.

KeymasterHi Ryan,
This error might significate there’s some incompatibility between your current theme and TEC’s latest version. Is Enfold up-to-date on your staging website?
It shouldn’t stop your website from working though. You should be able to hide this notice by editing your config.php file:
define( 'WP_DEBUG', false );
Please let me know how it goes,
Cheers,

ParticipantHello,
Debug was set to true. When the calendar is updated it works fine when set to false. I believe it is an incompatibility with the theme. Thanks for your help.

KeymasterHi Ryan,
Thanks for your feedback, and I’m glad your theme is working now.
I’m closing this thread but feel free to start a new one if you have further questins or concerns.
Cheers,
