ParticipantWe are running a multistie network with 4 sites and the latest version of wordpress and all plugins are updated.
We were previously running the Events Calendar Pro; our license expired and we upgrades/purchased new license.
After upgrading and buying a new license; The admin has gone all messy. The only change we made was upgrading the plugin.
The old version worked fine; no problems.A few weird things are happening……
1. Getting Invalid Post type in admin anytime I try and view the links for ‘mine’ ‘published ‘drafts’ etc.
2. Posts showing in ‘events’ that are not events;
3. Posts from LONG ago are showing; like from 2007The page shows the calendar and events ok; but the ‘list view’ is not working without clicking the ‘find events’ button. http://midlandsbiz.whosonthemove.com/events/
We used to have it set to ‘list’ view; but changed it to ‘month’ view in the settings as the list view was coming up blank, but if you click the ‘find events’ button, the list view shows up fine.
Not sure what do try next; accept for clean install (delete via FTP) and start fresh.
I do NOT want to lose my existing events though; we have have put in 100+Dave

ParticipantHey Dave,
So sorry you’re having these issues since your upgrade! Thanks for using The Events Calendar though, I’m happy to help. In order to help, I need you to please test for conflicts by following this documentation & let me know what you find out.
Also, I’m going to do some testing on this and get back with you, but so far I’ve been unable to replicate your issues. I will follow up once I have more info, but I wanted to let you know I am working on it.
While I work on this, but after you do the conflict testing, it may also be worth rolling back to the previous version of the plugin you were on, as a temporary work around. (It would also be helpful for my purposes to know which version that was.)
Don’t worry, we’ll get this sorted.
Cheers!
Shelby 🙂

MemberHi Dave,
Regarding the license key notices: this is, essentially, a bug. You are using a business license within a multisite network (which is actually fine given the total number of sites you’ve deployed the plugin on) however it is of course creating some unnecessary noise via those notices.
We’re working on a fix for this, however in the interim please know that that particular issue will have no operational impact on your site.
All our posts are showing up in ‘events’ within the WP admin (screenshot); they appear in posts as well, which is where we expect them.
This is a little more worrisome … did you have a chance to test for conflicts (which can be done on a testing or staging site rather than your live/production site) as Shelby suggested?
If we had to delete and re-install, how do we ‘save’ our event settings data; venues, organizers, actual event posts, etc.
There’s no perfect answer to this.
- If you literally mean deleting and then reinstalling the plugins without making any other changes, then there’s no further work to be done: the event data will have remained in the database
- If you are planning on wiping and rebuilding the entire site/entire multisite network, then making a backup of the database is of course a sensible precaution — but you could possibly also lever WordPress’s own import/export tools to push out and pull back in event, venue and organizer data specifically
Does that help at all?

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
