ParticipantA list of three of four events, prior to the current date, has started appearing below the monthly calendar when it is viewed on a phone. I’ve recently updated both the and Pro. Here’s a screenshot.

ParticipantHey Keith,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Does the issue persist if you try following our Testing for Conflicts procedures? Looking at the screenshot it appears that there is an issue there that it seems was fixed in a previously release. However it looks like you’re running the latest versions of the plugins. It could be that there is some old code being used in your current theme. Does the issue persist if you switch to a default theme such as the Twenty Fifteen theme?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Josh,
The screenshot is from twentyfifteen. It’s a very basic install.

ParticipantHey Keith,
I’ve taken a look at your site and can definitely see the issue you’re describing with a default theme. I’m still unable to replicate though with the latest versions on my local install. Have you tried deactivating the WPML plugins that you have active on the site? We are supporting those now, however there could be some potential conflicts. This will help us to narrow in and see if this is a conflict with WPML at play here.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Josh,
I’ve deactivated WPML and updated to 3.12.6, but I’m still seeing the problem.

ParticipantHey Keith,
Thanks for following up with us.
Re-looking at your site and screenshots, I’m terribly sorry that I didn’t notice something before. It looks like these events are supposed to still be displaying. If you take a look at the end date, the events end after the current day ( ex. the end date on the screenshot event is November 19) so they are still active and by default should be displaying there below the calendar in mobile view.
You could modify this behavior by taking advantage of the recurring events feature within pro and creating individual events for the days associated within the range rather than a single event and having the dates and times listed within the event details of the single event.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Josh,
You’re right they are current, ongoing events. Part of the problem was also that I hadn’t taken on board the difference in the way the Month View is displayed on mobile, with today’s events listed below the calendar, compared to how it is displayed on the desktop, with the events displayed in the today’s cell in the table.
Looking at it again, it occurs to me that on mobile, the “See all x” events is not really necessary. It’s there on desktop to limit the number of events appearing in any given cell, but on mobile, as the events are displayed below the table, it seems to be adding an extra step with no real advantage. Why not just display all of today’s events directly below the table? Is purely for performance reasons?
Would it be possible to arrange for the “See all events” link not to appear on mobile? Alternatively, perhaps it would be possible to have a different “Month view events per day” setting for mobile and desktop.

ParticipantHey Keith,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
That’s an interesting point on the “See all x”. However, it is mainly a consistent performance type of setting. Since you’re able to set the limit on the number of events that display per day we just have that same setting persists down to mobile. When you click the “See all x” events you should be taken to the list view for the events. If we didn’t maintain this limit set by the user, we would have to arbitrarily choose a different limit there since there could potentially be 100 events on a single day and we don’t want to display them all below the calendar on mobile.
You can definitely change the way the widget behaves by using our Themer’s Guide and copying the appropriate widget files into your theme and making the modifications there.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
