Individual and All Events

I am building a directory site. I’d like for each listing owner to be able to show their own events on their own listing, and then also have a community or group calendar that would list everyone’s events on it (all the listing owners events). And have the group calendar where visitors can check the events according to their location (like what all is going on in Nashville). Is this possible, and if so, which of your plugins would I need?

Howdy Jill,

That sounds like a good idea for a site. We have seen a few of those, and as luck would have it our calendar is ideally suited for them.

Community Events allows folks to submit events to your calendar, even if they are not site admins. They can submit events and event setup their own Organizer or Venue page. From there anyone visiting that page will be able to browse all events hosted by them. And then ofcourse you will still have a main page which shows all events form everyone.

Events Calendar Pro had some nice mapped based featured you may be interested in. It can show all of your events with little pins on the map for where they are. And users can even search by location, typing in a zip code for instance to find nearby events.
