    Hi,

There’s a bug in event tickets. When creating new events and tickets everything is in Euro’s. But when I checkt the event there’s a dollar currency symbol in the text below the featured image.

    Example:
    https://www.swiminbalance.nl/cursus/borstcrawl-zes-weekse-basiscursus-okt-1900-2000/2017-10-16/

The overview is just fine: https://www.swiminbalance.nl/cursussen/categorie/borstcrawl-level-1/ A € symbol in the right bottom corner.

    Can this be fixed please?

    Cheers,
    Jaap

    Hi Jaap,

    Thanks for reaching out!

This is a bug that we are actually aware of and intend to fix in an upcoming release, although I cannot give you an ETA at this time.

This bug exists when someone has Event Tickets Plus, without Events Calendar.  For now, you can install the following extension as a plugin, which should allow you to add currency settings:

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Jaime,

Thanks for your reply. I’ve installed the extension plugin but it didn’t solve the issue. You say the bug exists when events calendar is not used but on this site it is in use.

    Any idea?

    Cheers,
    Jaap

    Hi Jaap,

Yes, you’re right.  I do see that you have Events Calendar PRO installed, but I do not see your license showing up.  Have you registered your license?  Also, do you have default currency settings available under Event Settings>General?

I apologize for any confusion, we’ll try to sort this out asap!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi,

Yes it’s registered on the licenses tab. And yes, the default currency symbol is set to €.
    Please assist.

    Cheers,
    Jaap

    Hi Jaap,

Thanks for getting back to me.  We’ve made a few updates since the last time we spoke.  Would you mind updating your plugins to their most recent versions?

Also, can you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see?

As a next step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
